Dance Floor Update
We suffered a set-back with our sparkling new floor at Sundance Saloon when the building's cleaners treated the floor and made it unbearably sticky. We had to close last Sunday, and we are making every effort to fix the situation in time for Thursday's event.
We are currently assisting the club in interviewing professional commercial janitorial services to safely remove the sticky residue and restore the finish to the original. We announced at Sundance Saloon that we might need a small army of volunteers, possibly Wednesday night, but we are hoping this won't be necessary. Please watch this space for further updates.
We fully expect to have a rejuvenated dance floor so we can get back to enjoyed the awesome experience we all had last week. And we thank you all for your patience. Our plan is to be open this Thursday as usual, and then offer our community free admission on Sunday, June 23. We will continue to post information here.
Beatbox Country (aka SOMA Country): New Tuesday Nights!
Beatbox, 314 11th St. at Folsom, San Francisco
Sundance Saloon brings more country-western dancing to the South-of-Market club Beatbox! It's a great space, with a gorgeous hardwood floor, awesome sound system, fully-stocked bar, and central location.
• NEW! Tuesday nights. Country-western dancing is now EVERY TUESDAY at Beatbox! This night has slight increased focus 
on line dancing, but there is still plenty of couples' dancing to please everyone. Watch also for some bonus line dances to be taught here that you won't see at our other Sundance Saloon events. See the schedule of lessons here. 6:30 - 11 pm, lessons 7-8 pm. $6 admission.

Intermediate West Coast Swing Instruction @ Sundance Saloon
Sundays June 2, 16, 23 (no June 9): 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Sundance Saloon: Green Room
In this progressive series of 3 classes with instructor Shin Aoki, we'll assume you are experienced and comfortable with the basics, including basic 6- and 8-count patterns. We recommedn a minimum of 6 months to one year of active West Coast Swing experience.
The cost for the entire 3-week series is $15. Note that this is in addition to the regular admission charge each week at Sundance Saloon. No one will be turned away for lack of funds: if you are unable to afford the extra charge, please let us know. Attendance is limited to 24 people. Green Room classes are not drop in; all students must preregister. To reserve your place, email us (info@sundancesaloon.org) with the following information (1) name, (2) email address, (3) lead or follow. We'll confirm.

San Francisco Pride with Sundance Saloon!
Saturday night, June 29 - Sunday night, June 30
Celebrate San Francisco Pride with your boots on! Three glorious back-to-back events make this a weekend to remember. All designated Official Events of San Francisco Pride 2013.
Sundance Pre-Pride Dance. Saturday, June 29, 7:30 pm to midnight, with lessons 7:30-8:30. Hotel Whitcomb, 1231 Market St., San Francisco. Dance in the gorgeous ballroom of this historic hotel. Admission $10.
Sundance Pride Dance. Sunday, June 30, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. At the Civic Center Festival at our usual location on Larkin near Grove. An amazing experience you don't want to miss! $5 suggested donation at the Festival gates. At Pride, we will teach a line dance at 1:30 pm and then the Barn Dance at 3:30 pm. Come help the new folks learn!
Sundance After-Pride Dance. Sunday, June 30, 6:00 to 11:00 pm. Hotel Whitcomb, 1231 Market St., San Francisco. Just steps away from the Civic Center Festival, you can close out your Pride weekend in style! Beginning lessons 6:00 to 7:30 pm, and open dancing from 7:30 to close. Admission $10. (Remember: Sundance Saloon will not be held at our Barneveld Avenue location June 30.)

The Sundance Stompede
October 31 - November 3, 2013
The Sundance Stompede is our huge annual country-western dance weekend for the LGBT community and its friends, with awesome dance parties, hours and hours of fantastic dance workshops, plus lots of extra touches to make your weekend a most enjoyable one.
Highlights this year include:
- THURSDAY NIGHT Kick-off Halloween Dance at Sundance Saloon.
- FRIDAY NIGHT Welcome Dance at the Golden Gateway Holiday Inn.
- SATURDAY NIGHT Hoedown 2013 at the fabulous Regency Ballroom.
- SUNDAY NIGHT Stompede Ball at Sundance Saloon.
- DANCE WORKSHOPS over 40 hours of instruction spread over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with world-class instructors, and all levels from beginning to advanced.
- SOCIAL EVENTS, including our VIP Welcome Reception, Women's Social, and After-hours Parties.

Sundance Saloon Volunteers Needed
Did you know that Sundance Saloon is run entirely by volunteers? The managers, front door and coat-check staff, set-up crew, instructors, and DJs all donate their time to create this unique institution. It is the cumulative effort of dozens of volunteers that keep Sundance Saloon thriving and make it such a special place.
We are continue to recruit new volunteers for the front door and coat-check, especially those who can commit to serving one hour a month on Sundays. If you can help us out, contact volunteer@sundancesaloon.org.
