Sundance-A-Long Livestream
Thursdays • 6:30 - 9:00 pm PST

*** THIS EVENT IS ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE ***

Sundance Saloon presents livestreaming line dancing every Thursday (holidays excepted), broadcast from the Roccapulco club in San Francisco. Dance along with us at home ... or sign up to attend in person!

Here's the tentative schedule (subject to change as we work our way through this new venture):

  • 6:30 pm: Welcome and review of the beginning line dance from Sunday's livestream
  • 6:45 pm: Line dancing with a focus on beginning line dances
  • 7:15 pm: Review of the intermediate line dance from Sunday's livestream
  • 7:30 pm: Line dancing continues - all levels

Tune In At Home

We're planning to broadcast through Zoom. Zoom is great because it allows us to see each other and be with each other virtually. Although the video and audio quality and syncing can sometimes be off, our other platform of choice, YouTube Live, is likely to get disrupted due to copyright issues.

USING ZOOM

  • Please keep yourself muted, unless specifically asked to unmute by the host.
  • If you need to communicate with us, or the group, use the CHAT function. If you have a question for the instructor, we will have a chat monitor who will relay your question by voice.
  • We encourage you to have your video ON. This makes it more fun for everyone, and helps us establish a community. Adjust your webcam so we can see you dance.
  • If you are new to Zoom, we recommend you practice with a test meeting.
  • The review of the previous Sunday's line dances will be limited to a brief walk-through. If you missed the full lesson, you can still view the archived live-stream.

Onsite Participation
Roccapulco • 3140 Mission St., San Francisco • map

A limited number of participants can join us in person, as San Francisco allows up to 12 people indoors to produce a live-stream event. Participants will be considered volunteers of the live-stream production.

Advance registration is required. We are no longer splitting the evening into separate sessions.

IMPORTANT: On-site participants will have a 30-minute window to enter, after which the entry doors will be closed. On-site participants must wear masks and maintain social distancing at all times. You must not have any symptoms of COVID-19, or any known exposure to COVID-19 within the past 14 days. Please complete this Memorandum of Understanding on Wednesday or by 3:00 pm Thursday.

We intend to create as safe an environment as possible. The ceilings are very high, allowing for dispersal of air approaching an outdoor environment. We will have multiple fans blowing, as well as HEPA 13 air filtration systems. There will be specific individual rest areas where tables and seating have been disinfected.

Donating To The Sundance Association

There is no fee for the live-stream lessons and dancing. However, we ask that you remember that our usual admission fee to Sundance Saloon is $7, and that this primary source of income is lost to us during this time. If you would like to donate, we have two different funds to consider:

Fund to offset losses from COVID19.
Use to "pay" for the live-stream lessons.

General fund for donations.
Use this for Sundance memberships.
